My Suman Latik Experience

This is my first time to try this Suman Latik, not really into kakanin but my friend from Iloilo discover this Suman Latik and ever since when ever he buys something in Greenhills he usually buy this Suman Latik in Tita Paring. Since this is his treat so I give it a try because im not a picky eater anyway.

Suman Latik is “suman sa lihia” in its generic form. It is known in different dialects and comes in all shapes and sizes depending on the province or region. Suman Latik’s origin is from Western Samar province. It is triangular shape, topped with a thick latik sauce; hence the name Suman Latik.

Amparo Cuna Sabinosa or “Tita Paring” has been preparing this popular delicacy in Manila since the pre-war era, and over a half century later,had refined and perfected many Filipino delicacies and dishes.

Food area was clean and well maintained so thumps up for that. They also serve dinuguan at puto which my friend told me a must try also, but Im to full to try that. Notice that most of their menu is Merienda Delicacies.

The suman was great but what I think the sauce makes it perfect.
